Ordering & Pricing

Deposits
A monetary deposit of half the purchase price, including tax, is required for all purchases.  No orders are placed until monetary requirements are met.  When purchasing special order apparel, no orders will be placed until payment is received.  Receipts will be given to the person making the down payment or payments, and that person is responsible for getting receipts to the individual customers.  If a payment is made via phone by credit card, a receipt will be mailed upon request; otherwise receipts will be kept with our record in the bride’s individual folder.  Balances on all gowns are due at the time of first fitting. No gowns will be altered until gown is paid for in full.

Measurements
When purchasing multiple gowns such as bridesmaids, no orders will be placed until all members of the wedding party have been in to be measured, or measurements have been mailed, and all required deposits are paid.  This is our policy to ensure same dye lots, etc.  We contact the bride only to update her on any members of her wedding group we have not received measurements and payments on, but the bride is ultimately responsible for her party members, as we may overlook someone by accident.

Rush Orders
Rush orders are charged $20 extra per dress and are available on certain styles only.  Not all gowns are available by rush, so ask your consultant for specific dates and availability.  There is a 3 month minimum time frame for ordering bridesmaids, so rush charges would apply if not enough time is allotted for the order.

Extra Length & Size
Extra length and size require an extra charge based on individual company policies.  These charges can range from $25 to $60 depending on whether it is a wedding or bridesmaid gown.  Half down on these charges will be due at the time of purchase or ordering.  Typically, all gowns sizes 18 and up will be subject to an extra size charge.

Shipping
We are happy to ship any gowns to any individuals outside of the area, but shipping charges do apply and the gown must be paid in full before it is shipped.

Tuxedos

Men’s formalwear does not require a deposit.  All tux orders must be placed 6 weeks in advance and payment is made in full when the tux is picked up.  All formalwear must be returned by noon the Monday following the event to avoid late return charges.  It is best to be measured by a professional dealing in formalwear if you cannot be measured in our store.  Any replacements and/or extra shipping charges on tuxes after they arrive will be at the customer’s expense on any tuxedo orders not measured by a Teresa’s consultant.

 Alterations

We offer free alterations on any full price gown sold in our store.  The exceptions to this are pregnancy, excessive weight gain or loss, or ordering a smaller size to avoid an extra size charge.  If a gown is ordered in a smaller size with the intent to lose weight and not enough weight is lost to fit that specific dress size, charges will be required for those alterations.  We will recommend a size based upon the customer’s measurements or after trying on stock dresses.  The gowns are not custom made to those measurements, so they may not be a perfect fit.  Sizes are ordered that correspond to the biggest measurement and the gown is altered for a better fit.  It is recommended that each customer be measured professionally if they cannot be measured in our store as this determines the size to be ordered.  If the order is made and the measurements do not correspond with the gown, an alteration charge will be applied.

Pregnancy
If you are pregnant, Teresa will help determine the size, but alterations will be extra.  This is because you could not be measured accurately and your post-pregnancy size is your best guess, as well as your size if you will be wearing the dress during your pregnancy.  If you become pregnant after the gown is ordered, please let us know immediately as we may be able to change the size ordered.  Alterations will be extra either way, although ordering a larger size could save on alteration fabric and labor charges in some cases.  Most gowns ordered for pregnant or newly delivered persons will require extra size charges.  Remember, you are wearing a gown that is not a maternity dress and is not designed to fit the pregnant body.  We are now able to order maternity bridesmaids gowns in specific styles, so please ask your consultant as this may save some alteration charges.

Appointments

Please call in advance to make a fitting appointment.  This allows you to choose a time and date that would be most convenient for you.  Teresa is NOT available every day for fittings, so it is best to call ahead to assure she will be able to fit you.  There will be 2 Saturdays a month set aside for fittings and some weekdays.  No fittings will be scheduled on Sundays or evenings.  If you make a fitting appointment for Saturday, please note that we do not do fittings Saturday afternoons.  This could make a difference when planning bridal showers, etc. 

You MUST have an appointment to fit your dress, and please have the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear with you at the time of fitting.  If you wish to purchase a shoe from us, you may do so at the time of your fitting.  If your forget your shoes and must borrow a pair to fit with from us, we will be happy to hem the gown with that shoe, but are not held responsible for the hem if the shoe height is different from yours later.  If you are a bride and plan to wear a crinoline, please let us know if you are bringing one with you, or if you plan to order so we can be prepared.  Crinolines and shoes take only a week or two to order in if we do not have what you want in stock.  If you drop in for a fitting without an appointment, there may not be someone to fit you, so please call for an appointment as soon as you are notified that your dress is in.  Appointment times book fast and you may have to make other arrangements at your expense if not enough time is allowed for alterations. 

This is a free service only if you choose to take advantage of it in a timely manner.  No first fittings will be done and alterations completed the week of the event.  We will be happy to make any minor adjustments necessary after a final fitting, but final fittings must be made a week in advance of the event.  Prom season is the only exception to these rules.  Occasionally, Teresa will do a fitting while you are in the store, if you purchase a gown and shoes and she can fit it in.  It may also be possible to schedule a fitting when Teresa is working Thursday evenings.

We are a full service bridal salon and are happy to press and bag your gown for you at no extra charge.  We notify you as soon as your dress arrives so you can schedule a fitting, and we will call you when alterations and pressing are completed.  You may choose to leave it at the store until the time of your event, or pick it up at your convenience.
