Men’s formalwear does not require a deposit. All tux orders must be placed 6 weeks in advance and payment is made in full when the tux is picked up. All formalwear must be returned by noon the Monday following the event to avoid late return charges. It is best to be measured by a professional dealing in formalwear if you cannot be measured in our store. Any replacements and/or extra shipping charges on tuxes after they arrive will be at the customer’s expense on any tuxedo orders not measured by a Teresa’s consultant. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . We offer free alterations on any full price gown sold in our store. The exceptions to this are pregnancy, excessive weight gain or loss, or ordering a smaller size to avoid an extra size charge. If a gown is ordered in a smaller size with the intent to lose weight and not enough weight is lost to fit that specific dress size, charges will be required for those alterations. We will recommend a size based upon the customer’s measurements or after trying on stock dresses. The gowns are not custom made to those measurements, so they may not be a perfect fit. Sizes are ordered that correspond to the biggest measurement and the gown is altered for a better fit. It is recommended that each customer be measured professionally if they cannot be measured in our store as this determines the size to be ordered. If the order is made and the measurements do not correspond with the gown, an alteration charge will be applied. Pregnancy . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Please call in advance to make a fitting appointment. This allows you to choose a time and date that would be most convenient for you. Teresa is NOT available every day for fittings, so it is best to call ahead to assure she will be able to fit you. There will be 2 Saturdays a month set aside for fittings and some weekdays. No fittings will be scheduled on Sundays or evenings. If you make a fitting appointment for Saturday, please note that we do not do fittings Saturday afternoons. This could make a difference when planning bridal showers, etc. You MUST have an appointment to fit your dress, and please have the shoes and undergarments you plan to wear with you at the time of fitting. If you wish to purchase a shoe from us, you may do so at the time of your fitting. If your forget your shoes and must borrow a pair to fit with from us, we will be happy to hem the gown with that shoe, but are not held responsible for the hem if the shoe height is different from yours later. If you are a bride and plan to wear a crinoline, please let us know if you are bringing one with you, or if you plan to order so we can be prepared. Crinolines and shoes take only a week or two to order in if we do not have what you want in stock. If you drop in for a fitting without an appointment, there may not be someone to fit you, so please call for an appointment as soon as you are notified that your dress is in. Appointment times book fast and you may have to make other arrangements at your expense if not enough time is allowed for alterations. This is a free service only if you choose to take advantage of it in a timely manner. No first fittings will be done and alterations completed the week of the event. We will be happy to make any minor adjustments necessary after a final fitting, but final fittings must be made a week in advance of the event. Prom season is the only exception to these rules. Occasionally, Teresa will do a fitting while you are in the store, if you purchase a gown and shoes and she can fit it in. It may also be possible to schedule a fitting when Teresa is working Thursday evenings. We are a full service bridal salon and are happy to press and bag your gown for you at no extra charge. We notify you as soon as your dress arrives so you can schedule a fitting, and we will call you when alterations and pressing are completed. You may choose to leave it at the store until the time of your event, or pick it up at your convenience. |
